What are the main categories of LCD screens?
Liquid crystal displays are classified into three types: static drive, simple matrix drive, and active matrix drive. Among them, the passive matrix type can be further divided into Twisted Nematic (TN), Super Twisted Nematic (STN) and other passive matrix driven liquid crystal displays; while the active matrix type can be roughly divided into Thin film transistor (Thin Film Transistor; TFT) and two-terminal diode (Metal / Insulator / Metal; MIM).
